Terms of service

The service

STRATIC makes ShopFlow and InspectFlow and Sentinel and Blackwall: software for scheduling work, running inspections and sending their reports, sending estimates and invoices, collecting payments, sending records to QuickBooks Online, and checking websites for security problems. "We" means STRATIC. "You" means the business that signs up and the people it adds.

You must be able to enter a contract on behalf of your business to open an account.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what the people you add do in your account.

Tell us promptly if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

Price and billing

Each product has one flat monthly price for your whole company, shown on its pricing page, after a 14-day free trial. There is no setup fee and no contract.

You are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; the service continues to the end of the month you paid for.

If a payment fails or the trial ends without a card, the account becomes read-only. We do not delete your data for non-payment while the account remains open.

If we change the price, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.

Payments from your customers

Online payments are processed by Stripe through a Stripe account that you own. Your agreement for payment processing is with Stripe, and Stripe's fees are charged by Stripe. We do not hold your customers' money and we charge no fee on payments.

You are responsible for refunds, disputes and chargebacks in your Stripe account.

QuickBooks

When you connect QuickBooks Online, you authorise us to create and update customers, invoices and payments in your QuickBooks company and to read your customers, items and accounts. You can disconnect at any time.

Check your books regularly. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your accounting and your tax filings, including sales tax.

Your data

You own the data you put in. We use it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.

You can export your customers, jobs, invoices and payments at any time. After you close your account we delete your data within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, send spam, store content you have no right to store, or try to access another customer's data. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, and we back it up daily. The service is provided as is, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

We may change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you can do, we will tell you in advance.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive closing do so.
